Art
At Obama Middle School, students explore their creativity and grow their skills through engaging Visual and Performing Arts classes.
Visual Arts
Our Visual Arts program encourages students to express themselves, explore their identity, and connect with others through art. In 6th grade, students build on what they learned in elementary school by working with new materials and techniques. They plan and create artwork around specific themes, learn to problem-solve through the creative process, and develop their own artistic voice.
Performing Arts
Students have the chance to take Performing Arts classes as part of a well-rounded education. These classes help students build confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills.
Performing Arts classes meet every day or every other day. Lessons are culturally responsive and based on state standards, helping students connect with art from many cultures and traditions.
