Ribbon Cutting Held for Obama Montessori and Middle Schools

Barack & Michelle Obama Montessori and Obama Middle Schools are officially open! The entire community came out for a special ribbon cutting ceremony at the newly renovated building, which now houses the former J.J. Hill Montessori and new Obama Middle School in one connected campus. Attendees included current students and their families, school and district staff, neighbors, friends and alumni of the building's former life as Webster Magnet School. The renovated building incorporates many elements from the past, including a tree in the commons area that honors the late J.J. Hill "lunch man," Philando Castile.
